We still have a pulse with Arabian Gold in the Doncaster

Racing (Doncaster): As mentioned earlier in the week, we were getting very excited by the prospect of ARABIAN GOLD (who we tipped for thew Doncaster at $51+a couple of week's back), especially with rain forecast this week in Sydney. But, we were then disheartened by the news from trainer David Vandyke stating she was found to be lame in her off-fore leg due to a corn.

However, despite the less than ideal lead-up we're currently still alive (scratching doesn't help us with ALL-IN betting) with the following report just in from Racing NSW stewards:

Following a report from trainer David Vandyke earlier this week that Arabian Gold was lame in the off-fore leg due to a corn, Racing NSW Senior Official Veterinarian Dr Craig Suann on Wednesday morning inspected Arabian Gold, subsequent to the mare working. Dr Suann reported Arabian Gold has responded well to treatment and was passed fit to take its place in the Doncaster Mile.

So, there's still a pulse! If she's 100% (and a big 'if' given recent news), we think she is a huge chance in what is always a very open race. Weather can go either way with 50-60% chance of showers most days between now and Saturday, and here's hoping for as much rain as possible which will only enhance her chances as she absolutely loves it wet.
